 | Mary Ann STANTON I’m guessing that the photo of Mary in uniform (Marie as she called herself, and most likely written to her ‘sis’ Eva) was most likely taken before or during WW1 – she was a nurse, and according to someone from our Genealogy Society, the uniform is that of Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Nursing Corps and she most likely spent time in France (GT 0608) |

 | Robert Langshaw Smith and Sarah Stanton gravestone at Weymouth, Dorset, England Status: Located. If you go to Weymouth Cemetery and enter from the Abbotsbury Road you will be in the Holy Trinity section and before you will be the little chapel, now used as a store. On the right hand side of the Chapel you can find Robert Langshaw Smith and Sarah Ann Smith nee Stanton. I have tried some weedkiller around them to keep the grass down, but I presume that its effect could well have worn off by now. If you feel so inclined another dose would do for the weeds a bit more. (Brian Wollaston 2005)

 | Teddy Cullinane's application for Placer Mining Grant at Eldorado in Bonanza - Nov 1906 This application is dated 15th November 1906 and is signed by Teddy at the bottom right.
"After gold was discovered in 1896 on Bonanza Creek, thousands of claims were staked along tributaries of the Yukon and Klondike Rivers. The Yukon Gold Commissioner's Office issued "Placermining Grants," enabling prospectors to become miners and work their claims for "placer" findings (mineral deposits containing gold, left by glaciers or rivers )."
