If you go to Weymouth Cemetery and enter from the Abbotsbury Road you will be in the Holy Trinity section and before you will be the little chapel, now used as a store. Just to the left and on the road side of the chapel you should find James Stanton, now standing upright and a little cleaner than before. (Brian Wollaston 2005)

I’m guessing that the photo of Mary in uniform (Marie as she called herself, and most likely written to her ‘sis’ Eva) was most likely taken before or during WW1 – she was a nurse, and according to someone from our Genealogy Society, the uniform is that of Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Nursing Corps and she most likely spent time in France (GT 0608)
