I’m guessing that the photo of Mary in uniform (Marie as she called herself, and most likely written to her ‘sis’ Eva) was most likely taken before or during WW1 – she was a nurse, and according to someone from our Genealogy Society, the uniform is that of Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Nursing Corps and she most likely spent time in France (GT 0608) |
