Hiya Mark - it was really great to speak to you yesterday. Steve was patiently waiting to speak to you - not expecting me to hog the phone for the whole conversation. He would love to say hi - I might let him next time!!
I have found Terry's emails - this is one. It contains the 'George' I mentioned who died.
Also - it has been so good for me to re-read this as I have another little nugget which adds to this regarding Rebecca. Further down the email, Terry mentions the name Watson and I have got a Mr Watson on the Ship's Manifest in 1912 when Rebecca and her children went to America - his name is down as where she is staying but curiously he is called her brother!
You can find this yourself on www.ellisisland.org - I actually found her with her daughter Doris Beckham
I don't know if this link will work as this is the right page.

I shall have to start looking for the Watsons in America now!
I shall forward Terry's other email but I am not sure if there are any good bits in it.
Talk to you soon
Kind regards
Eva

Subject: Family details
Hi Eva,
We've had a get together with Terry's cousin but unfortunately haven't really learned much more about the family. Anyway perhaps the following basic information might tie up a few loose ends for you.
Granndmother Alice (maiden name not known) married Frederick Campbell and we think there were 9 children:
1. May - emigrated to US and married ? Liguri. Their children were Joe (known as Sonny) and Alice (known as sister). Alice married Jack Pike? and had a daughter called Janet. She also had an adopted daughter called Sandie.
2. Dorothy (known as Doll). Doll married Alfred Elphick and had Joyce and Leonard (known as Boy) Divorced and remarried to Richard Boynton and they had Patricia and Susan. Joyce married Ronald Hulland and had Jane, Nigel and Anita.Len married Emily and they have no children. Pat married Christopher Nash and they have Clive
Christian, Paul and Claire. Susan married and had Richard and then was divorced -we don't know her maried name. Joyce divorced Ron and married David Collins and they have no children. Joyce and David has lived in the US for many years. Sadly Nigel died a few years ago leaving a wife and small daughter.
3.Alfred married Hilda and they had one child - Colin. Alf died and Hilda married Dennis West and they had Valerie and George. Valerie married Michael Deacon and they have 2 daughters. George was sadly killed in a traffic accident when he was about 16.(about 1955/56). Colin married Pat and they have 2 sons.
4. George married Rosina (known as Rose) and they had Terry (born 1943). Terry married Brenda and they have Sarah Louise(15.07.79) and David Michael (18.12.80)
George died 05.09.99. Rose died 02.10.2001
5. Frank married Maisie and they had no children.
6. Edward (known as Ted) unmarried and died in the mid 50s
7. Douglas married Rene and they had Robert, twins Jenny and Susan, and Andrew
Robert married Jackie and they have no children. we don't know about the other children but think that they are all married.
8. Alec married Jean More and they had Ann. Ann married Andrew Hall and they had Samantha and Matthew. Ann divorced and married Roger Wallworth and we don't think that they have any children
We had always understood that Dad was one of 9 children and Len thinks that there was a child called Dai who died during childhood but we don't know anything else about him.
We think that May was the oldest and Alec the youngest. We know that Doll was older than George and think that Alfred was too. Frank and Douglas were definitely younger than George. Sadly all of the brothers and sisters are all dead.
Now for the real waffle!!
From what Len told us the family in Seattle, US
had the fruit machine empire and their name may have been Watson or West. He thinks that there was some connection with Nan's (Alice Campbell) brother, Joe. They then ran a successful luxury boat building business.
We think that the family who had the pet crematorium were on Broadway
and there was a mention of a Dr Fletcher who at some stage was also the local sheriff.
Aunt Beck was nan's sister and married Jim Taylors son. - this was in the US
Aunt Beck had a son known as BOYboy
There was a Gerry Church who lived in Vancouver and was related to the Watsons.
Nan also had a cousin called Harry Ball who owned a local pub and hotel in Salisbury. He is in some way related to the Salmons and the Wests.
Sorry this is all such a muddle but Len didn't really seem to know a lot of details but perhaps some of it will be useful to you. We haven't found much in the way of Photos but will do some copies of what we think might be of interest in the next few weeks and send them on to you.Interestingly we have a couple of photos of your mum's wedding!
Good luck with your research!
Kind regards
Brenda and Terry

The e-mail that you sent to John Liguori was forwarded to his Father in Miami Joseph Liguori, who in turn sent in on to his niece Janet Alexamder in Boston.Janet passed it on to me. My name is Joyce (JOY) Collins and Alice West was my Grandmother, her Daughter Dorothy( was my Mother. I believe Aunt Vi as I knew her), was married to a Ted Eames, I am not sure how to spell the surname .Their Daughter Shirley, was a bridesmaid at my Uncle Douglas Campbells Wedding, one of Alice Campbell's Sons, I also was a bridesmaid and I have the wedding picture with both Shirley and I. John Liguori would not have any connection with the Campbell family as he was adopted by my cousin Joe as a baby. I guess I as mi Grandmothers eldest Grandchild have properly got the lost memory of the family. If you could give me your address and Phone No. I will have a chat with you and be able to send you a few photos and perhaps fill in a few missing questions. I shall look forward to hearing fro you, I am going up to my cousin on Thursday the 28th May but will be back on the following Tuesday. In the meantime if you would like to e-mail me my e-mail address is Londonjoy29@aol.com. My address is 129 Watkins Glen Drive, McDonough Georgia 30252 USA.Joy
