I must apologise for the delay in answering your e-mail, I could at least have just said 'Hello', couldn't I !
Like Mark, I am pleased you are entering into the Family History fray, so to speak - and indeed you appear to have already been pretty well involved. The 'new' information you supply has already raised the curtain a little higher to reveal previously hidden mysteries about what had happened to our forbears, John Charles Heath and Matilda.
It's become almost like a hardship now to try and gather every scrap of info. possible regarding these two and their families on to one very large piece of paper in order to achieve a wide overall view of their life and associations known to date. For one reason or another this has happened something like four or five times already in my case, and although each time there is something extra to add, one begins to think 'will this episode never end?'. But now suddenly you arrive to offer a new ray of sunshine to help replace our efforts at conjecture to fill in the gaps, with actual knowledge based on family experience, so thank you so much for making contact. This is quite apart from the personal relationship angle, of course, which was a very enjoyable and pleasant surprise.
As an extra bonus, it's a pleasure to meet up with a fellow Old Georgian! I also went to St. George Grammar School way back, from 1932-3 to 1938, and what's more, Mark's grandmother, Ruby (née Allen), was there a few years before me!
There still remains for me a little more straightening-up to do on this project. I will contact you again when I feel confident enough to make intelligent comment.
